"Toxic" Britney Spears In the Zone
Happy New Year! The first day of the New Year is actually one of my favorite holidays, oddly enough. I feel like everyone has a sense of hope. People set goals for the new year, they make plans, and challenge themselves to make this year better than the last. I have vowed to stop biting my nails and I hope that I can really stick to it. It's something that I have tried to do for years and years and it never works. So why not try again?
The video on the top of this page is from my first attempt at using iMovie '08 to blog rather than Photo Booth on my computer. I actually like it better because I can stop and start music while doing it, unlike in Photo Booth. So to usher in the new year I will be using iMoive '08 from now on. Woo hoo!
As you can also see from the video about Josh R. (aka Joshy Poo/aka The JAR/aka Honeydip) came to visit me here in Providence, RI. He is home for a little bit from school and lives about an hour away. He and his mother (Momma R., whom I love and adore) came to see MAMMA MIA! on Tuesday night, then I went back to CT with them, stuffed my face (lasagna, grapes, Portuguese sweet bread, and Krispy Kreme donuts), then left early in the morning to come back to RI because Josh R. and I were spending the new year together. So last night we had a show, which was interesting, then it was time for the new year to begin! We celebrated in the hotel for a little while. David R. (one of my favorites out here on The Mia) rented a suite and a bunch of us partied hardy and watched the ball drop. Then Josh R. and I went out to the club. We trekked it over to Mira Bar which sadly had a $15 cover even though we missed the champagne toast. Anyway. So we danced around to some techno for awhile and then came back home. We watched SHELTER (I think I've decided to all caps movie titles like I do with musicals, we'll see) which is a cute gay-themed movie that you guys should rent. I watched it last week with Adam K. in Ottawa and wanted to introduce Joshy Poo to it. So we munched on some bacon cheeseburgers from a truck down the street (Haven Brothers Diner) and watched the film.

So as I mentioned in the entry before this, I am going to start my 7 albums a week thing. It is beginning today thanks to this glorious New Year! Let's hope this works out. I am giving myself deadlines with things. LOL. It'll be a Thursday feature, to check in on Thursdays to see what I thought about the albums from the week before and get a peak at what albums are coming up the next week. Exciting, huh? For the first week I have decided, since this is the beginning of a new year, to use self-titled debut albums. This new section is going to be called iLISTEN. Here we go!
01/01 - 01/07: Mariah Carey Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton Toni Braxton, Madonna Madonna, Janet Jackson Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue Kylie, Brandy Brandy, Christina Aguilera Christina Aguilera
